How it works
- Decide what you’d like to learn – would you like us to suggest topics based on your current knowledge and requirements? or do you already know what you’d like to cover?
- We’ll come up with a lesson plan for you.
- We’ll send you exercise files to copy to your computer.
- Together we’ll arrange a time when you and the trainer are both available – it doesn’t have to be business hours.
- You will need a computer (PC, laptop, or Mac) with the software that you’re learning. A bonus would be a second monitor - you could work on one, and watch the instructor's screen on the other.
- You’ll need to download Zoom.*
- Ideally, you’ll need a headset and microphone. We've tested a Microsoft headset (similar to this, and the earphones and microphone from an Apple 'phone. If you’re in a very quiet space, you might manage with your computer's speakers and microphone.
- You’ll need a quiet space where you’ll be undisturbed for the duration of the training.
- Before the training, we’ll email you a link to the virtual classroom, and a .pdf file with notes.
*Security concerns about Zoom? To mitigate these concerns, we will:
- provide you with a temporary email address for the duration of the training
- require a password to join the training session
- make use of a “waiting room”
- lock the session once everyone involved is present
